3D Cinema (1985)

By chance, I got to see a segment of Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" produced in 3D. The experience was impressive.

However, knowing that this film was never shown in 3D due to the lack of suitable projection equipment in cinemas pushed me to find a way to make this media both popular and affordable. My initial experiments were conducted with 3D slides, with the help of my brother, Amos. In 1987, I produced "Jerusalem in the Third Dimension," which was screened at 120 events across the country, in cinema halls and open spaces at night.

3D Cinema on Video

Transitioning to 3D movies on video in the late 90's seemed impossible.

I still remember the moment we placed two video cameras on a special rig we built in a warehouse.

In the corner of the room, we set up two video projectors that broadcasted the image "live" on a special 3D silver screen and with the help of special Polaroid filters and glasses.

With a mix of dread and excitement, took a broom standing in the corner of the warehouse and waved it back and forth in front of the cameras... "Wow," we all shouted in joy... The broom seemed to literally poke us in the eye.

It was an unforgettable moment. Since then, I've produced 12 3D films, including the first 3D film for Bollywood and the first 3D film about Jesus for the Christian church.
