Time Elevator Rome
In May 2001, I breathed life into the history of Rome. At the heart of this city, rich in ancient monuments and impressive stone structures, there was a gap: an immersive experience that would allow visitors to feel the story that the silent stones could not tell.
The adventure begins as visitors enter the pre-show hall, a virtual "Time Institute." Here, they engage in a fun historical quiz, learning about the background of the story they are about to witness. Through interactive trivia screens, they enjoy a lively game of knowledge. After visiting the Time Institute, they enter one of two screening rooms equipped with moving seats facing three panoramic screens.
From here, they embark on a multi-sensory journey through time. With every turn, twist, and vibration of the electronic seat, viewers experience a visceral passage through the rich tapestry of Rome's history. They meet Romulus and Remus, join Julius Caesar in the dramatic moments before his assassination, and enter the Sistine Chapel just as Michelangelo finishes painting the ceiling. They encounter iconic figures from the ancient world and even feel the heat of Nero's infamous fire. The journey concludes with a breathtaking flight over modern-day Rome, leaving visitors with a lasting appreciation for the city's eternal legacy.
